[Financial News] An accident occurred where a preschool child crossing an unsignaled crosswalk in the Busan area was hit by a van and transported to a hospital but died.
Busan Saha Police Station announced on the 13th that an accident occurred on the 12th at 8:38 PM in front of the beach park in Dadae-dong, Saha-gu, where a Starex driver, Mr. A (in his 70s), hit Master B (6) who was crossing the road.
As a result of this accident, Master B was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but was confirmed dead. It was reported that Master B was crossing the crosswalk on a scooter at the time of the accident.
According to the police, Mr. A did not see Master B crossing the road and hit him without reducing speed. However, it was investigated that Mr. A was not under the influence of alcohol and was not speeding at the time.
The police plan to investigate Mr. A for violating the Special Act on Traffic Accident Handling (causing death) on the grounds of negligence in keeping a lookout ahead.
