Operating 'Lifezip' Pop-up Store of 300 Pyeong Until the 20th
[Financial News] LG Electronics is presenting a unique experience space with 'home enthusiast (a term meaning people who are deeply immersed in a particular field)' customers again this year following last year.
LG Electronics announced on the 13th that it will operate a home lifestyle community 'Lifezip' pop-up store in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul until the 20th. Lifezip is an online community created by LG Electronics in 2022 for home enthusiasts. The number of Lifezip members recently exceeded 700,000. Since surpassing 50,000 members in January last year, it has started to gain word of mouth, increasing more than 14 times in a year and a half. Among the members, the proportion of the 2030 generation is over 70%.
LG Electronics has nearly doubled the size of the Lifezip pop-up store compared to last year. The pop-up store, consisting of 3 buildings and 28 exhibition zones, is composed of spaces where you can purchase items reflecting the tastes of Lifezip community members, and spaces reconfigured to resemble the homes and studios of creators in fields such as camping, interior, home gardening, art, and collection. Half of the exhibition zones are operated with the participation of Lifezip members, adding significance.
Throughout the exhibition zones, innovative products such as the new concept coffee machine 'DUOBO', plant lifestyle appliance LG Tiiun, home beer maker LG Homebrew Objet Collection, and wireless portable screen LG StanbyME are placed. The AI mobility space solution 'Schpilraum', equipped with customized appliances like refrigerators, audio, and TVs, also offers an optimized innovative mobility experience for customers enjoying camping or picnics.
Additionally, during the exhibition period, various experience programs are conducted with influencers, brands, and general members with expert-level insights in fields such as self-interior, world travelers, sneaker collectors, and calligraphy artists participating as collaboration partners.
LG Electronics plans to recycle the banners used in the pop-up store as commemorative goods and to reuse the furniture in future pop-up stores, contributing to waste reduction.
Meanwhile, Lifezip is expanding customer contact points both online and offline. The first pop-up store introduced in Seongsu-dong last July attracted over 7,500 visitors in just ten days. The unique pop-up store with the 'Hut in the Snow' concept opened at the ski resort in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do earlier this year attracted about 12,000 customers over two months, receiving great response.
