[Financial News] Kang Hoon-sik, Chief of Staff to the President, recently expressed his thoughts on the completion of the first cabinet appointments of the Lee Jae-myung administration, saying "The President's standards are too high."

Chief Kang stated on his Facebook on the afternoon of the 12th, "Now that the first cabinet appointments of the new government are complete, I must confess. The President's standards are too high. Of course, they should be high," he said. He added, "Even after considering and reviewing numerous factors, when I hear 'Please think about it a little more,' I felt so frustrated without a transition committee." Previously, the Lee Jae-myung administration announced the appointments of the Ministers of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 11th, completing the designation of ministers for 19 departments.

Chief Kang emphasized about the newly appointed minister candidates, "There were times when I immediately found someone who seemed 'just perfect!' and there were times when I sighed wondering if such a person exists, only to be surprised when they were really found," he said. "These are the people I recommended with a pounding heart."

Chief Kang said, "I calm my startled heart at each article. It all feels like our fault, and I couldn't sleep wondering if we were insensitive, but now only the judgment of the public remains," he said. He also added, "However, I dare to hope that you would focus a little more on the many shining strengths of the candidates."

Chief Kang said, "I wait for all the confirmation hearings with a trembling heart. Please watch whether they are the right people to do the work assigned to each department, whether they have such capabilities," he said, "If we can share trust in the President's insight during that process, there would be nothing more to ask for."
