Kim Yoon-deok, candidate for Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, stated on the 12th, "I will focus all efforts on quickly supplying quality housing in preferred locations and managing the market stably."
Candidate Kim expressed in his nomination speech, "I am honored to be nominated as the first Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the new government, and at the same time, I feel a heavy sense of responsibility and mission," adding, "If given the opportunity to work as a minister, I will do my best to create a country where everyone can live well together."
He continued, "I will actively pursue policies for balanced national development and reducing mobility gaps so that basic quality of life can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere."
In particular, he emphasized, "Recovering the difficult economy is also urgent," and added, "I will expand growth engines through advanced industrial complexes and future mobility." He also stressed that he will pay close attention to safety management to prevent unfortunate accidents such as sinkholes and aviation disasters from recurring.
Candidate Kim said, "I think I have been given a very heavy task in difficult times," and added, "Based on my years of legislative experience, including the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, I will closely communicate with the public, the National Assembly, and stakeholders to promote practical land and transport policies that the public needs."
Candidate Kim was born in 1966 in Buan, Jeonbuk, and graduated from Dongam High School and Jeonbuk National University in Jeonju. He served as a member of the 19th, 21st, and 22nd National Assembly and is currently the Secretary-General of the Democratic Party, a member of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee, and the Chairman of the Special Committee on Housing Welfare. He was active as a member of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee in the 19th and 21st National Assembly.
