On the 10th alone, about 8,000 livestock died
According to the Central Disaster and Safety Headquarters on the 12th, 604,636 livestock have died from May 20 to the 10th. This is about 11.4 times the number compared to the same period last year (53,238).
Additionally, on the 10th alone, 78,630 livestock died, with poultry such as chickens accounting for the majority at 77,535, and the remaining 1,095 being pigs.
The heatwave is expected to continue on this day as well, with the highest perceived temperatures reaching around 35 degrees in the western and inland areas, making it very hot. It is also forecasted that tropical nights will occur in many places, especially in the western regions.
