[Financial News] Workplace Gapjil 119 announced a statement opposing the appointment of Kang Seon-woo, the candidate for Minister of Gender Equality and Family, who is under suspicion of aide gapjil.

Workplace Gapjil 119 stated on the 11th, "We oppose the appointment of a person under suspicion of gapjil as the Minister of Gender Equality and Family, who has the duty to protect the rights of social minorities and expand the values of gender equality and human rights."

Furthermore, "The issue of human rights violations among parliamentary aides has existed for a long time," they said, "In an unstable employment structure where contract extensions are entirely dependent on the evaluation of the member of parliament, parliamentary aides are forced into silence, suffering from unfair instructions and overtime work without even being able to raise issues."

They continued, "If the allegations that Candidate Kang instructed aides for personal errands are true, it is a clear case of gapjil and abuse of public authority for personal use."

They emphasized, "The facts must be clearly revealed."

In this regard, Workplace Gapjil 119 plans to propose a 'Survey on Human Rights Violations and Gapjil of Aides' to the National Assembly and each political party.

Previously, a media outlet reported allegations that Candidate Kang made his aides dispose of household trash. According to the report, it is known that while serving as a member of the National Assembly, he replaced parliamentary aides nearly 50 times over the past five years.
