[Financial News] The Kim Geon-hee special prosecutor team (Min Jung-gi special prosecutor) has warned Kim Ye-seong, known as Kim Geon-hee's steward, to appear in person and testify.
Moon Hong-joo, the assistant special prosecutor, stated on the 11th, "There was a media report that the main suspect of the 'Steward Gate', Mr. Kim, would voluntarily return to undergo the special prosecutor's investigation, but the special prosecutor has not received any direct or indirect intention of appearance from Mr. Kim."
He added, "If Mr. Kim's remarks are genuine, he should convey his intent to the special prosecutor, not the media," and "If he contacts the special prosecutor soon, the special prosecutor will proceed with the investigation according to the established laws and procedures and strive to uncover the truth."
The special prosecutor team also plans to summon individuals related to the alleged nomination interference by Yoon Seok-yeol, the former president, and his wife. Moon, the assistant special prosecutor, said, "After the search and seizure conducted this week, we are analyzing the seized materials," and "From next week, we will begin summoning and investigating the related parties in earnest."
