Yun Refuses to Cooperate with First Investigation by Special Prosecutor on Insurrection After Re-arrest, Submits Non-Appearance Statement

[Financial News] Former President Yun Seok-yeol refused to comply with the summons by the special prosecutor team on insurrection and foreign affairs (Cho Eun-seok Special Prosecutor).
Yun's legal team stated on the 11th, "At around 11:20 AM, the detention center reportedly directly delivered the original non-appearance statement of former President Yun to the special prosecutor."
According to the insurrection special prosecutor team, former President Yun conveyed that he could not appear due to 'health reasons.'
The special prosecutor had notified former President Yun the previous day to appear at the Seoul High Prosecutor's Office at 2 PM for an investigation. This was the third summons following June 28 and July 5, and the first since re-arrest.
Previously, Judge Nam Se-jin, who is in charge of warrants at the Seoul Central District Court, issued an arrest warrant for former President Yun at around 2:07 AM the previous day on charges including obstruction of special official duties.
Former President Yun did not attend the trial on insurrection leadership charges held at the Seoul Central District Court the previous day, submitting a non-appearance statement citing 'health reasons.'
