[Financial News] "I am very pleased to have the opportunity to think and share together about the future power development direction of the Republic of Korea Air Force," he said, "and I will continue to communicate and strive to further develop aviation weapon system technology."
Shin Ik-hyun, CEO of LIG Nex1, said this at the 5th Aviation Guided Weapon and Avionics Development Seminar held at KW Convention in Seo-gu, Daejeon on the 10th.
LIG Nex1, in its presentation on the future development direction of aviation guided weapons, said, "In the recent direct conflict between Israel and Iran, we were able to confirm the importance of strong air force power and aviation armament," and "we will complete the development of weapons such as long-range air-to-ground guided missiles in a timely manner and move away from the method of developing weapons in response to demand, and instead, we will become a First Mover by establishing a system that enables networked, intelligent, and modular aviation armament development and low-cost mass production to create demand."
This seminar was held to discuss various topics for realizing the aerospace power of the Republic of Korea Air Force, such as the latest technology trends, innovative research results, and future weapon system ideas, as the importance of aviation weapon systems increases amid rapidly changing global situations and technological advancements.
The topic presentations included △LIG Nex1's future development direction of aviation guided weapons △Support jammer system as a game-changer in modern warfare △Research on optimization techniques and operational concepts for medium-range air-to-air guided missile trajectories, among others. Eight presentations were introduced. At the exhibition held as a side event, LIG Nex1 showcased its core technologies, including △long-range air-to-air guided missiles △dual-mode seekers.
Attendees at the event included Shin Ik-hyun, CEO of LIG Nex1, Park Tae-sik, head of the Missile Systems Business Division, Gong Seung-bae, Commander of the Air Force Logistics Command, Lee Tae-kyu, Chief of Planning and Management of the Air Force, Kim Se-hoon, Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff's 1st Power Planning Division, Lee Yang-soo, Head of the Air Force Aerospace Combat Development Group, Kim Se-yeon, Head of the Air Resources Management Group, and more than 250 key figures from the civilian, government, and military sectors.
