[Financial News] National Pukyong University announced that it held the 'Unitech Wave Project' campus policy meetup event with Busan Technopark (Busan TP) and Busan Institute of Science and Technology Evaluation and Planning (BISTEP) at the Pukyong Convention Hall on the morning of the 11th.
The Unitech Wave Project is a joint cooperation model of the three institutions to discover excellent university technologies, jointly plan research and development (R&D) projects, and secure R&D projects from the government and local governments to spread the results.
The three institutions leading the cooperation of academia, industry, and research in Busan aim to foster Busan's future food sources together and create a sustainable development and industrial ecosystem in the region.
To this end, Pukyong University, centered on the Industry-University Cooperation Foundation, investigates and discovers R&D planning projects. Busan TP engages in technology matching and finding demand companies for each project, while BISTEP supports project consulting and securing experts.
Since last April, Pukyong University has discovered a total of 18 planning projects in the fields of marine and advanced industries, completed matching 10 projects with Busan Technopark, and conducted a case presentation on this day.
The matching projects include the 'Research on Activating Busan Surfing Zone Using Artificial Structures' to prevent coastal erosion and marine disasters and create a complex leisure town, the 'AI-based Marine Logistics Early Warning Monitoring System' to respond to marine logistics issues according to global trends, the 'Smart Bioreaction Sensor-Based Environmental Disaster Early Warning System Construction and Demonstration Project in Busan Area' to prevent environmental disasters, and the 'Technology-Based Project for Enhancing Reliability of Eco-Friendly Power Machinery Component Materials' to advance power machinery parts.
Pukyong University President Bae Sang-hoon stated, "Through this cooperation model that creates a sustainable regional innovation ecosystem, we expect to achieve tangible results that contribute to future industries and the local community."
