[Financial News]
Kim Byeong-gi, acting representative and floor leader of the Democratic Party, strongly criticized the Regulatory Reform Committee under the Prime Minister's Office at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the 11th, regarding the recommendation to review the '2 hours work, 20 minutes rest' principle in the scorching weather, saying, "Do you think the principle of giving a 20-minute break after working for 2 hours in an environment over 33 degrees is excessive regulation on companies?" and added, "I won't tell you to work, but try standing in the scorching sun for about 20 minutes."

Kim, the floor leader, emphasized, "A public official must have a cool head and a warm heart. If they have a warm head and a cool heart, they are not qualified as a public official," adding, "This is a matter directly related to the lives of the people, which is more important than anything else. I urge the Regulatory Reform Committee to awaken and conduct a forward-looking review."

He further added, "In addition, I urge the Ministry of Employment and Labor to thoroughly guide and inspect the field. The Democratic Party will prepare and promote measures at the party level, including legislation, to establish the principle of 2 hours work, 20 minutes rest." Photo·Video=Seo Dong-il Reporter
