[Financial News] The Korea Construction Association announced that it held the 4th board meeting and executive discussion on the 11th. At this board meeting, the association reported on the progress of major projects for the first half of this year and approved the '2024 fiscal year settlement plan'.
Chairman Han Seung-gu said, "Since the inauguration of the new government, there have been significant changes in construction policies, and the strengthening of labor and safety regulations, such as the proposal of the Construction Safety Special Act, could be a burden on the industry," adding, "The association will closely cooperate with the government to protect the rights and interests of member companies and improve major issues, and will also respond firmly to the issue of excessive responsibility of prime contractors."
He continued, "We will do our best to listen to the voices of member companies closely and lead realistic system improvements so that the construction industry can be reborn as an industry trusted by the public."
