Gangwon Tourism Foundation Promotes Korean Gourmet 30 Tour
This invitation promotional tour (fam tour) is organized to invite Korean product managers from major Japanese travel agencies to experience Chuncheon Dakgalbi, one of the 'Gourmet 30' selected by the Korea Tourism Organization, and local representative tourist attractions.
Amid growing interest in Korea's diverse food culture in Japan, Chuncheon Dakgalbi is gaining great popularity among the local youth, thanks to its spicy-sweet seasoning and the visual stimulation of stretching cheese.
In particular, the number of cases where 'Chuncheon-style Dakgalbi' is featured as a signature menu at Korean food specialty stores in major Japanese cities such as Tokyo and Osaka is increasing, drawing attention to this invitation fam tour as a marketing strategy targeting the gourmet desires of Japanese tourists visiting Korea.
This Korea Tourism Organization's 'Gourmet 30' linked Korea visit tourism activation plan is a promotional content limited to Japanese tourists, jointly planned by the Korea Tourism Organization and Gangwon Tourism Foundation, allowing Japanese tourists visiting Korea to enjoy 'Old-fashioned Dakgalbi', 'Chicken Intestines', 'Cheese Sari', and 'Makguksu' alone.
Participants will experience Chuncheon's representative local foods, Dakgalbi and Makguksu, at local restaurants, enjoy the view of the Bukhan River and Chuncheon city through the Samaksan Cable Car, and engage in a nature experience along the old railway at the Gangchon Rail Park.
Choi Seonghyeon, CEO of Gangwon Tourism Foundation, said, "This invitation fam tour is a great opportunity to show that content combining Chuncheon's regional identity and gourmet resources can be developed into an attractive tourism product in the global market."
