[Financial News] Korea Zinc announced on the 11th that it held the '2025 Heatwave Energy Save Campaign and Summer Nutritious Meal Sharing' event at the Northern Volunteer Center of the Korean Red Cross in Nowon-gu, Seoul, on the 10th.
On this day, Kim Gi-jun, Head of the Sustainability Management Headquarters (Vice President) of Korea Zinc, participated along with employees from affiliates such as Seorin Information Technology, KG Trading, and Red Cross officials and volunteers, totaling about 30 people.
At the event, Korea Zinc delivered cooling items worth 17 million won, such as circulators and neck coolers, to the Korean Red Cross. These items will be delivered to 300 households in Nowon, Jungnang, Seongbuk, Gangbuk, and Dobong districts in Seoul, which are under the 'Hope Windmill Item Support' agreement.
Korea Zinc continues to support climate-vulnerable groups with a 30 million won scale through the 'Energy Save Campaign' conducted every summer and winter.
On this day, employees sweated hard as they cooked and packed Samgyetang themselves. Seasonal fruits such as chamoe were also prepared, and the completed nutritious meals will be delivered to 155 households, including the elderly living alone and single-parent families, through the Red Cross.
Vice President Kim Gi-jun said, "I hope that the items and nutritious meals with our heart will help our neighbors have a healthy summer," and added, "We will continue to provide necessary support to create a community without exclusion."
Heo Hye-sook, Director of the Seoul Branch of the Korean Red Cross, said, "The continuous interest and support from Korea Zinc are a great help," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that those in need can have a cool and healthy summer even in the heatwave."
Meanwhile, Korea Zinc held a blood donation event with the Ulsan Blood Center of the Korean Red Cross in June to mark 'World Blood Donor Day,' with employees and their families participating. At the end of the year, they plan to conduct volunteer work such as sharing kimchi, briquettes, and rice.
