Limit of 500 million won per company, 2.0% interest evenly supported, expected to stabilize business management
【Financial News Incheon=Han Gapsu Reporter】 Incheon City announced on the 11th that it will provide financial support amounting to 150 billion won to help stabilize the management of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) exporting to the US from the Incheon area, which are experiencing difficulties due to the US's high tariff policy. With the continuation of the US tariff policy, and the possibility of additional tariffs on some items such as semiconductors and pharmaceuticals, which are major exports of Incheon, Incheon City is promoting financial support for SMEs exporting to the US and companies experiencing management difficulties due to the impact of tariffs.
In particular, the city plans to minimize the impact on local companies from US tariffs by including not only US export companies affected by tariffs but also partner companies and suppliers trading with US export companies.
The management stabilization fund to be supported this time is available up to 500 million won per company, with a uniform interest support of 2.0% for the difference in bank loan interest, and the loan period is a one-year maturity repayment method. Companies that have already received management stabilization funds from the city or county/district and are in the process of repayment are also included in this support, and since it is not a direct loan or guarantee method, the applicant company must directly check the loan availability with the bank.
Applications for support are available online through Incheon City's customized support system for SMEs, BizOK, from July 14 until the funds are exhausted. For more detailed inquiries, please contact the Incheon Technopark Management Support Center.
Namju Lee, Director of Future Industry Bureau of the city, said, "We hope that this financial support will help alleviate the financial difficulties and interest burden of export companies due to the US tariff policy."
