[Financial News] Mirae Asset Securities announced on the 11th that it has released the 'China Fit GO' series, content exploring the sites of Chinese innovative companies, on the YouTube channel 'Smart Money'.
This content was planned to deliver vivid scenes of Chinese companies leading innovation in both hardware and software technologies, providing investors with deep insights. Mirae Asset Securities has been recording the bases of global technology companies by directly visiting Shenzhen and Guangzhou in China.
The theme of the first series is 'Electric Vehicles and Autonomous Driving', featuring visits to BYD, the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturer, and Pony.ai, an autonomous driving innovation company. BYD, which started as a battery manufacturer and expanded its business to electric vehicles, motors, and semiconductors, recorded a cumulative sales volume of 4.27 million new cars as of last year, showing rapid growth. In the corporate introduction hall featured in the video, a blade battery explosion test, a core technology, was conducted, demonstrating safety even in situations where a battery would typically explode.
At Pony.ai, a live review was provided by actually riding in a Level 4 autonomous taxi. The vehicle used the lidar on the roof and cameras all around to finely recognize the surrounding situation, responding stably even to sudden cut-ins or lane changes.
The second episode focused on drone and urban air mobility (UAM) innovation companies. It introduced the innovation sites of DJI, a global drone production and technology company that commercialized drone delivery in Shenzhen, and EHang, the developer of the eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) 'EH216-S' with a fully automated flight system. EHang has currently enhanced the technology of the EH216-S to fly at a maximum speed of 130 km/h for 21 minutes with a 2-hour charge, aiming to extend the flight time to 60 minutes by the end of this year. Additionally, it plans to build take-off and landing facilities in major cities to increase the use of firefighting and cargo drones, and is preparing services connecting tourist sites and airports.
The third episode spotlighted industrial robot arms and humanoid robot technology. UBTECH, a global robot company, showcased various technologies from robots specialized in precision work with visual and tactile perception to portable AI robots the size of dolls.
Dobot, which develops educational desktop robot arms and industrial collaborative robots, is targeting the global market by developing robots capable of high-precision control even in unstructured environments. Currently, orders for commercial robots are increasing, and entry into the home robot market is also planned.
A representative from Mirae Asset Securities said, "We will continue to strive to provide various high-quality investment information content through 'Smart Money' with the responsibility of being the No. 1 securities company, helping investors make the right investment decisions."
Meanwhile, last month, Mirae Asset Securities released the 'China Fit' series, which captures the digital and smart sites of leading Chinese technology companies such as Alibaba and Baidu, suggesting the need to diversify investment portfolios centered on the U.S. to include Chinese tech stocks amid the reorganization of the global technology competition landscape.
