"Please understand if deliveries are delayed"
[Financial News] Hanjin announced on the 11th that it prioritizes the health and safety of courier workers by avoiding excessive deliveries during heatwave conditions.
Hanjin recently expanded air conditioning at the Daejeon Mega Hub Terminal to create a comfortable working environment. When the workplace temperature exceeds 33 degrees Celsius, the '50 minutes work, 10 minutes rest' principle is applied, and related training is conducted regularly.
Additionally, ice water will be distributed to couriers nationwide, and additional hub terminals will be operated to secure morning working hours for couriers. Furthermore, flexible working operations will be supported to avoid deliveries during the hottest times of the day.
For a safe working environment in the summer, Hanjin has been providing couriers with cooling bags, cooling bottles, and necklace fans. Additionally, during the summer season, a 'Thank You Box' is operated on the first floor of the new building of Hanjin in Jung-gu, Seoul, providing free 500mL bottled water to all transport workers.
A Hanjin representative stated, "Due to the nationwide heatwave, deliveries may be temporarily delayed in some areas. We kindly ask for your understanding," adding, "We will do our best to prioritize the safety of couriers and related workers while minimizing customer inconvenience."
