[Financial News] The recruitment market is becoming more advanced. A large number of specialized platforms segmented by industry and employment type are emerging, expanding 'customized job matching'. Companies can find the necessary talent more precisely, and job seekers can efficiently explore recruitment information tailored to their desired roles and employment conditions.
According to related industries on the 13th, GameJob operated by JobKorea is a job platform specialized in the gaming industry. From 2022 to 2024, the cumulative number of individual members increased by 25%. During this period, job posting views surged by 60%, and job applications increased by 58%. The cumulative number of individual members is about 200,000, with 14 million job posting views and 890,000 job applications.
In the construction industry, 'ConstructionWorker', which started online services in 1997, is considered a representative platform. Major domestic construction companies such as Samsung C&T, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and GS Engineering & Construction are conducting regular and project-based contract (PJT) recruitment through this platform. With the spread of continuous recruitment, the proportion of 'quiet recruitment' based on resumes is also increasing. The daily number of visitors reaches 200,000.
WantedLab opened an 'exclusive section for contract positions' last month to meet the demand for contract talent recruitment. The exclusive section is focused on contract positions that can work for at least six months. About 80 companies, including Lunit, Danggeun Market, KakaoPay, Mirid, and ConnectWave, participated.
The background of the diversification of recruitment platforms by industry and employment type lies in the demand to resolve information asymmetry between recruiting companies and job seekers. Specialized platforms complement the job-specific expertise, industry trends, and practical competency standards that large portals cannot encompass.
In fact, ConstructionWorker provides construction industry-specific data from 'construction capability evaluation rankings' to 'technical personnel career management'. GameJob increases the actual recruitment connection rate through industry turnover rate and genre preference analysis. WantedLab is also actively reflecting the trend of employment diversification, including freelancers and contract positions.
The job market is shifting from being supplier-centered to being demand-centered. Therefore, it is analyzed that it has become important to not just show many job postings but to place 'the right person in the right position' with sophisticated design. In this process, the role of specialized platforms by industry, job category, and employment type is expected to grow even larger.
An industry official said, "There is a clear trend of finding specialized recruitment platforms that can leverage expertise by industry and job category compared to the past," and "From the company's perspective, there are increasing cases of strategically using platforms to improve recruitment efficiency and reduce talent turnover."
