[Financial News]  Former President Yoon Seok-yeol is on the verge of arrest six months after his first arrest in January, and it is known that he will receive different treatment this time. At that time, former President Yoon maintained his status as the incumbent president despite being suspended from duty due to impeachment proceedings, but this time, as a former president, he will not receive any protection or traffic control and will be treated the same as other detainees.

Former President Yoon is scheduled to wait in the detainee waiting room at Seoul Detention Center after completing the warrant review at 2:15 PM on the 9th at the Seoul Central District Court until the decision on his arrest is made.

If he is detained according to the court's decision, he will not receive protection as a former president. This is because the responsibility for protection will be transferred to the correctional authorities upon arrest. Protection support will resume when former President Yoon is released after completing his detention.

When he was first arrested, former President Yoon received indirect protection from the Presidential Security Service even in the detention center. For this, 5-6 security personnel from the Presidential Security Service waited in an empty office building about 100 meters away from the Seoul Detention Center where former President Yoon was detained. However, they could not view the CCTV inside the detention center.

Also, when attending investigations by investigative agencies or impeachment trials at the Constitutional Court, he boarded the Ministry of Justice's convoy vehicle, and security personnel escorted the convoy vehicle from the front and back.

With the issuance of the arrest warrant, he will immediately undergo formal detention center admission procedures. Sitting on a chair equipped with electronic imaging equipment while wearing only a gown, a correctional officer checks for prohibited items such as drugs. He will change into prison clothes, and the mugshot and fingerprinting procedures will be carried out. He will also receive a new prisoner number instead of the '10' number he received during his first arrest.

After completing the admission procedures, former President Yoon will be moved to the detention building where general detainees stay. It seems he will use a solitary cell, following the precedent of former presidents. The solitary cell is equipped with a TV and bedding, similar to the detainee waiting room, and has a heating panel with electric heating lines on the floor. It is expected that he will be detained in a solitary cell of about 3 pyeong, similar to former Presidents Park Geun-hye and Lee Myung-bak.
