[Financial News] A man in his 40s, who was drunk and armed with a weapon because his parents refused to pay for his drinks, was caught by the police.
On the 7th, according to JTBC and others, the Seoul Gangdong Police Station announced that they had arrested a man in his 40s, Mr. A, on charges of attempted parricide.
Mr. A is accused of arming himself with a weapon at his home in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, and visiting his parents on the evening of the 5th at around 11:20 PM.
According to the investigation, Mr. A drank outside and demanded his parents to pay for his drinks. When they refused, he reportedly visited them in a drunken state with a weapon.
At that time, Mr. A, not finding his parents at home, thought they might be at a relative's house, so he armed himself with a weapon from his home and set out to find them.
A citizen who saw Mr. A walking with a weapon reported it to the police. Upon receiving the report, the police arrested Mr. A as a red-handed criminal near a multi-family house in Gangdong-gu.
The police have applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A and are investigating the detailed circumstances of the incident.
