[Exclusive] OpenAI Establishes Korean Corporation, Seeks Local Talent

Recently, the global artificial intelligence (AI) company OpenAI, which has formalized the establishment of a Korean corporation, has posted a recruitment notice for local personnel, preparing for a full-scale entry. They are focusing on securing domestic clients and providing customized services by hiring evenly across technical support, customer management, and sales positions.

According to the information technology (IT) industry on the 29th, OpenAI posted a recruitment notice on the business-specialized SNS LinkedIn for personnel to work at the Seoul office the previous day.

The positions OpenAI is hiring for this time include △Solution Engineer △Solution Architect △Account Director (Strategy) △Account Director (Enterprise) △Account Director (Digital Native) △Customer Success Manager, totaling 6 fields.

The work format is a hybrid model where employees work from the office located in Seoul at least 3 times a week while also working from home. Applicants must be proficient in both Korean and English, and depending on the position, a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 14 years of experience is required.

Additionally, specific additional conditions are specified, such as having achieved an annual revenue target of over 2 million dollars (approximately 2.75 billion won) for more than 3 years, over 5 years of collaboration experience with global enterprises, and direct collaboration experience with C-level executives. It is interpreted as focusing on securing skilled professionals who can immediately contribute.

The desired candidate profile for OpenAI was also presented. Applicants need to have a high curiosity and passion for AI and must have concerns and a sense of responsibility for ethical AI.

Some notices mentioned that types like 'Builder', who are interested in building and precisely executing operating systems and processes from scratch, are suitable.
