Kim Moon-soo, the People's Power presidential candidate, visited the National Assembly Members' Office Building at dawn on the 29th, when early voting began, to urge unification with Lee Jun-seok, the Reform New Party candidate, but was ultimately rejected and failed. Although June 3, when the main vote takes place, is seen as the 'third unification deadline', the highest early voting rate in history has been achieved, and Lee Jun-seok has not shown any change in attitude, so the three-way structure is unlikely to be shaken.

Nevertheless, the People's Power is hoping for unification in the form of attracting votes from Lee Jun-seok by stimulating the 'wasted vote prevention psychology' of conservative and anti-Myeong voters, while not letting go of the hope for unification until the end.

Candidate Kim voted early in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, the constituency of Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate, and told reporters about unification with Lee Jun-seok, "I will continue to make efforts until the end" and "I am trying to unite as one overall." It is a message that he will not let go of the faint thread of unification until the end as early voting begins.

Candidate Kim attempted to meet Lee Jun-seok immediately after completing his campaign schedule in the Yeongnam region the previous day, but failed as Lee Jun-seok did not respond. Despite Lee Jun-seok's repeated dismissal of 'no unification with martial law forces', Candidate Kim actively took action to attempt 'conservative and anti-Myeong coalition', not letting go of the thread of unification until the end.

Although unification before the early voting, which was the 'second unification deadline', ultimately failed, it seems that the expectation for unification will not be let go until the main vote. Candidate Kim said, "We must continue to make efforts until the main vote," and "I would like to say that we must unite to stop the bulletproof monster dictatorship."

However, as the early voting participation rate has reached an all-time high, the possibility of unification is expected to decrease further. This is because the support of voters who have already cast their votes for Lee Jun-seok becomes meaningless. Aware of this, Kwon Seong-dong, the joint election campaign chairman, announced that Candidate Kim would accept Lee Jun-seok's policy pledges and appealed to Lee Jun-seok's supporters to vote for Kim Moon-soo. Chairman Kwon said, "Unification will be achieved according to the choice of voters at the polling station." He added, "Among Lee Jun-seok's pledges, good ideas like the National Science Hero Honor System, the National Responsibility for Mathematics Education, and the 'Pink License Plate' for multi-child families will be thoroughly reviewed and accepted," and "The vision and policies of Lee Jun-seok that can be accepted and realized are those of the Kim Moon-soo government."

Candidate Kim announced his pledge to strengthen communication with the people and cooperation between the ruling and opposition parties, saying, "I will end the era of disconnection, blockage, and dictatorship and open the era of a communication president." As a specific measure, he promised △ regular 'Dialogue with the People' quarterly △ 'Media Day' with reporters once a week △ meeting with the opposition leadership at least once every two months. Meanwhile, Candidate Kim plans to continue a total of 90 hours of 'non-stop overnight campaign' from the 30th until the end of the election campaign. Situation Room Chief Jang Dong-hyuk said, "Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be in southern Gyeonggi, the 1st and 2nd in northern Gyeonggi, and the final campaign site will be gathered in Seoul."
