[Financial News] On the first day of early voting for the 21st presidential election on the 29th, at a polling station in Seoul, an incident occurred where ballot papers were taken outside, prompting the Central Election Management Committee to investigate the situation. Although it is not a fraudulent election, the Election Commission's lax management is likely to come under scrutiny.
At around 12 PM on this day, a YouTube video live-streaming the entrance of the early voting station at Sinchon-dong Community Center, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, captured citizens waiting with ballot papers and return envelopes in their hands.
As the number of absentee voters increased, the waiting line grew longer, and in this process, it was reported that those who had already completed identity verification were given ballot papers in advance.
The Central Election Commission acknowledged that ballot papers were taken outside at the polling station. A representative of the Central Election Commission stated, "We are identifying more accurate facts." Unlike local voters, absentee voters who vote in areas other than their registered address are given ballot papers and return envelopes.
