Shinsegae I&C Expands Support for Partner Companies' ESG Management with Dongbanwi

[Financial News] Shinsegae I&C (Shinsegae I&C) is expanding its support to enhance the ESG competitiveness of partner companies in collaboration with the Committee for Co-Prosperity.
Shinsegae I&C announced on the 29th that it signed a business agreement with Dongbanwi on the 28th for the '2025 Partner Company ESG Support Project'. Participating in the partner company ESG support project for the second time following 2023, Shinsegae I&C plans to support the enhancement of partner companies' ESG management capabilities by reflecting the characteristics of the IT service industry. Dongbanwi issues an 'ESG Excellent SME Certificate' providing benefits such as preferential interest rates, export support, and environmental energy technology support to Shinsegae I&C partners with excellent ESG indicator compliance.
Shinsegae I&C plans to contribute 300 million won to the co-prosperity fund this year and expand programs for co-prosperity with partner companies. In addition to support for strengthening ESG competitiveness such as ESG education and consulting, it also strengthens welfare support, including support for technology deposit fees of the technology guarantee fund for partner technology protection, information security and safety and health consulting support, and reward support to encourage long-term retention of key talents of partners.
Meanwhile, Shinsegae I&C is actively engaging in various practices to strengthen ESG management, including establishing supply chain policies and partner support programs for co-prosperity activities. As a result of these efforts, it has obtained an integrated A grade for two consecutive years in the ESG evaluation by the Korea ESG Standards Institute (KCGS).
Idal-gon, chairman of Dongbanwi, said, "Customized ESG support reflecting the characteristics of the IT service industry is expected to further strengthen the sustainable management capabilities of partners," and added, "We will continue to work with Shinsegae I&C to create a sustainable co-prosperity ecosystem within the IT service industry."
