"Minju Nochong Leading Bad Laws"
[Financial News] Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, said on the 29th, "Unions exist because companies exist. If companies all go abroad and do not do business domestically, how can unions exist?"
Candidate Kim stated at the election campaign held at Ansan Cultural Square in Gojan-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan, Gyeonggi, that afternoon, "We need to bring foreign companies to our country, but land prices and labor costs are high, and unions are too vocal, so they do not come."
Candidate Kim said, "The number of workdays lost due to strikes in our country is more than 10 times that of Japan," and emphasized, "If we do not fix this, there is no future for our country."
He continued, "We must somehow make companies come to our country and prevent them from going abroad," and emphasized his union experience by saying, "This is something that someone who has been in a union can do."
Candidate Kim pointed out, "When the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (Minju Nochong) proposed the Yellow Envelope Act, the Democratic Party made a pledge," and criticized, "Even if they strike illegally, the company cannot claim damages. Who would do business in this country?"
Furthermore, Candidate Kim said, "For example, the current chairman of Hyundai Motor Group is Chung Eui-sun, and if all subcontractors demand a wage increase from Chairman Chung, can the company be operated?" and emphasized, "The Minju Nochong and the Democratic Party are leading the creation of bad laws, making it impossible to do business."
Candidate Kim said, "When I say things like this, they say a union person has betrayed," and added, "It's not betrayal; companies must exist for unions to exist. If all companies leave, can unions wage wage increase struggles?"
