[Financial News] Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 29th, "I offer my condolences to the victims of the navy aircraft crash in Pohang, Gyeongbuk, and express my sympathy to the bereaved families."

Candidate Lee said on social networking services (SNS) this afternoon, "Even at this moment, many people are risking danger to carry out their duties to protect our ordinary daily lives," adding, "No words can fill the sudden void left by a family member, but all our citizens are grieving together over the tragic news."

He further stated, "Thorough measures to prevent recurrence must be prepared so that such unfortunate accidents do not happen again," and urged, "The government should do its best in handling the accident and ensure that there is no lack of respect for the victims and their families, and the navy should thoroughly investigate why such an accident occurred and whether there were any aircraft defects."
