[Financial News] The Korea Forest Service announced on the 29th that it held a demonstration of the 'Landslide Safety Education Content' developed through public service design at the Forest Welfare Comprehensive Education Center in Seo-gu, Daejeon.
In this demonstration, a new education model combining theoretical education and experiential teaching aids (workbooks, board games, etc.) was presented. About 70 participants, including local government and education office officials and forest and safety education experts, directly experienced the teaching aids and verified their applicability to actual education processes.
The newly introduced 'Landslide Shelter Game' is an educational board game that combines the Landslide National Action Guidelines OX Quiz with the Jenga game of stacking wooden blocks, focusing on helping children and adolescents naturally learn landslide action guidelines. Additionally, workbook activities are designed to allow step-by-step learning of action guidelines before, during, and after a landslide using quizzes, 3D puzzles, stickers, etc.
The participant survey conducted to verify the educational effectiveness and field applicability will be reflected in future content improvements.
Imi-ra, Deputy Director of the Korea Forest Service, said, "With the increasing risk of landslides due to recent abnormal weather, it is time for a comprehensive transformation of landslide safety education," adding, "We will continue to develop educational content that reflects the voices of the field to enhance social safety awareness regarding disasters."
