[Financial News] On the first day of early voting for the 21st presidential election, rapper Beenzino (38, Im Seong-bin), who sparked controversy by writing "World Red Day" on his social networking service (SNS), deleted the post and issued an apology.

On the 29th, Beenzino posted on his SNS, writing "World Red Day" and uploaded photos of himself wearing red shorts and a vest while holding his son, as well as a photo holding a donut with red cream.

Netizens raised suspicions that he was revealing a political inclination supporting the People Power Party on the first day of early voting, and as the controversy arose, Beenzino immediately deleted the post.

Just two days ago, Karina (aespa) also faced controversy after posting a photo on her SNS wearing a windbreaker with the number 2 in red, and now Beenzino is caught up in a similar political color controversy.

In response, Beenzino said, "I sincerely apologize to those who were uncomfortable with today's post," and explained, "There was really no political intention, and I just wanted to share the peaceful day I spent with my family and moments in the studio a few days ago in a good mood this morning."

He continued, "I also feel greatly that the timing during the early voting period could have caused misunderstandings, and I wasn't careful enough," and added, "I always consider it important to communicate healthily with various fans. As much as that, I also think today's post was regrettable and lacking."

Beenzino emphasized, "I have now deleted the post, and in the future, I will think and act more carefully about each expression," and "I am grateful to those who pointed out my shortcomings."

Debuting in 2009, Beenzino gained attention as the main MC of the project group 'Primary School' formed by hip-hop PD Primary, and has participated in albums by hip-hop group 'Epik High', hip-hop duo 'Supreme Team', and Dok2.
