[Financial News] The delivery of policy proposals for revitalizing the venture and startup ecosystem is nearing completion. The Innovation Venture Organization Council (hereinafter referred to as Hyukdanhyeop) announced that it delivered 150 policy tasks in four areas to the Reform Party at the National Assembly on the 29th.
The delivery ceremony was attended by Lee Ju-young, co-chairman of the Reform Party's joint election committee and former vice speaker of the National Assembly, Song Byung-jun, president of the Venture Business Association, and four other heads of organizations affiliated with Hyukdanhyeop. Hyukdanhyeop is a private organization launched in 2017 under the leadership of the Venture Business Association, with 18 venture and startup-related organizations currently participating.
The core tasks of the proposal include △mandatory venture investment for 68 statutory funds △reform of the working hours system, including the 52-hour workweek △implementation of the regulatory innovation standard state target system and transfer of regulatory authority to local governments. Among these, the 'regulatory innovation standard state target system' has already been reflected in the Reform Party candidate's top 10 pledges.
Song Byung-jun, president of the Venture Business Association, said, “Venture and startups are the core industries that will determine the future competitiveness of South Korea,” and requested, “Please ensure that the policy tasks delivered this time are adopted as the top priority of the next government's economic policy.”
Hyukdanhyeop has also delivered policy proposals to major parties such as the Democratic Party and the People Power Party, including the Reform Party. They plan to continuously pursue the inclusion of key tasks in the national agenda even after the presidential election.
