【Financial News Yongin=Jang Chung-sik Reporter】Gyeonggi-do Yongin City announced on the 29th that it has appointed Jin-hyung Kim as the first director of the Foundation Yongin City Citizen Professional Football Team.
To this end, Mayor Sang-il Lee awarded the letter of appointment to Director Kim in the mayor's office at City Hall on this day.
Director Jin-hyung Kim, selected through a public recruitment, is a club management expert who has served as the director of Daejeon Hana Citizen in 2020, Ansan Greeners FC in 2021, and Bucheon FC, achieving results such as financial stabilization of the club, reorganization of the player management system, and expansion of local linkage programs.
Director Kim is evaluated as the right person to lead the new club Yongin City Citizen Professional Football Team based on his expertise accumulated over 20 years at the Korea Professional Football Federation and his experience in successfully leading numerous clubs.
Mayor Sang-il Lee said, "Director Jin-hyung Kim, who has gained a lot of experience as a director of various professional football teams, is known to have received evaluations from the recommendation committee that he has the know-how and strategic sense to lead Yongin's new professional football team well," and "I will support Director Jin-hyung Kim to fully demonstrate his professional capabilities to successfully establish the Citizen Professional Football Team."
Director Jin-hyung Kim said, "I will pour all my capabilities to make a team that Yongin citizens are proud of, and a team that ranks first in citizens' interest and participation."
The city plans to accelerate the establishment and operation of the Citizen Professional Football Team by finalizing the appointment of the first director and focusing on organizational restructuring, joining the Korea Professional Football Federation, and forming a player team centered on Director Jin-hyung Kim.
In addition, the city completed the change of the 'Foundation Yongin City Football Center' to the 'Foundation Yongin City Citizen Professional Football Team' on the 22nd after undergoing procedures such as revising the articles of association, and plans to appoint a manager and Technical Director (TD) in June and complete the application for joining K League 2 to the Korea Professional Football Federation.
