Lee Jae-myung Son Controversy Fiercely Attacked
[Financial News] Lee Jun-seok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party, who is launching an offensive against Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, regarding the online expressions of his eldest son, said on the 29th, "Candidate Lee Jae-myung is consistently deflecting the negative aspects of his family," and criticized, "I am curious about what kind of life this person has lived, as he threatens a person with the status of a constitutional institution, a member of the National Assembly, by mentioning expulsion because he doesn't want to properly answer himself."
Candidate Lee Jun-seok, after holding a concentrated campaign in Pangyo, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, met with reporters and stated, "Instead of blurring the message in this way, I think it is right for candidate Lee Jae-myung to apologize," revealing this stance.
Candidate Lee Jun-seok, regarding the Democratic Party's rebuttal that the statement was not directed at women, argued, "Initially, they talked as if it was false information from the community, but yesterday, with the media disclosure, the summary indictment of candidate Lee Jae-myung's son was revealed, and voters learned that the statement was actually included in the punishment content," and continued, "Then they come out with the argument that it was not an insult to women but to men, but the statement combines expressions towards men and women and ends with an expression towards women."
Furthermore, candidate Lee Jun-seok asked, "Even if we listen to the Democratic Party, do they set a standard that it's okay to make such vulgar remarks to men?"
The offensive against candidate Lee Jae-myung's son continued. Candidate Lee Jun-seok pointed out, "Regarding the gambling controversy, candidate Lee Jae-myung apologized in the last presidential election, but said, 'It seems like I lost about 10 million won,' 'It was a minor issue of gambling,' but this time it was revealed to be habitual gambling with nearly 230 million won in gambling funds involved," and noted, "It has been revealed to be different from the explanation at that time."
