Osan City, Local Currency Osaekjeon Incentive '10% Increase Provided' Until December

【Financial News Osan=Jang Chung-sik Reporter】Osan City, Gyeonggi-do announced on the 29th that it will expand the regular incentive rate of the local currency 'Osaekjeon' from the existing 6% to 10% starting in June to promote regional economic policies that citizens can feel. 
This incentive expansion will be implemented for 7 months in the second half of 2025, from June to December, and will be supported from the 1st of each month until the budget is exhausted.
Incentives are automatically provided upon charging, and if the budget for that month is exhausted, it will end early for that month and incentives will be applied again from the 1st of the next month.
In addition, during the 12th Yamac Festival, which will be held from June 5th to 7th, a special event will be prepared to return 12% of the payment amount as an immediate cashback when paying with Osaekjeon.
This event applies to all Osaekjeon affiliated stores throughout Osan City, and cashback is possible up to a maximum of 12,000 won per person.
The provided cashback can be checked in the Gyeonggi Local Currency app, and it will end early when the funds are exhausted, and will automatically expire if not used within 3 months.
Accordingly, if you charge 300,000 won to Osaekjeon during June, you can receive a maximum incentive of 30,000 won, and during the Yamac Festival period, you can receive 12% cashback on the amount paid with Osaekjeon, allowing you to enjoy benefits of up to 42,000 won per person if fully utilized.
The city plans to create a structure where local festivals and consumption circulate positively through the expansion of Osaekjeon incentives and festival period limited events, thereby revitalizing the overall local commercial district.
Mayor Lee Gwon-jae said, "Local currency Osaekjeon is not just a means of consumption but a key policy tool to revive the local economy," and "I hope that this incentive expansion will provide practical benefits to citizens and an opportunity for sales recovery to small business owners."
