[Financial News] The Dongbanwi announced on the 29th that it signed a win-win agreement with Starbucks Korea, the Gwangjang Market Merchants' Association, and Gwangjang Corporation at the Starbucks Gwangjang Market branch on the 28th.
This agreement is the second 'regional win-win collaboration store' example hosted by Dongbanwi, following the Starbucks Gyeongdong 1960 branch. The newly opened Gwangjang Market branch will operate as a cyclical win-win model that supports local small businesses by accumulating 300 won per store sale as a win-win fund.
This agreement is part of the 'Community Win-Win Support Project' promoted by Dongbanwi, centered on the win-win growth officers designated in 17 cities and provinces nationwide. Dongbanwi is focusing on spreading private win-win models based on regions by inducing voluntary collaboration between large companies and local small businesses.
Gwangjang Market is the first permanent market in Korea with over 100 years of history. Recently, it has regained vitality centered on food, but traditional fabric, hanbok, and thrift markets are at risk of decline. Dongbanwi plans to form a regional win-win council involving Gwangjang Market landlords, tenant merchants, and large companies to discover and promote practical cooperation tasks.
Park Chi-hyeong, Director of Operations at Dongbanwi, said, "The Starbucks Gwangjang Market branch is the second regional win-win store jointly created by Dongbanwi and Starbucks, and we will establish a win-win culture in Gwangjang Market based on our collaboration know-how," adding, "We will continue to do our best as a private platform for the spread of a community-centered win-win culture."
