Secured 650 million won in provincial funds, establishing AI civil service call bot and chatbot services
The competition was conducted by Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency targeting cities, counties, public institutions, and AI technology companies in Gyeonggi Province with the goal of discovering innovative public services using AI technology.
The city proposed the 'GeniusGov, Generative AI-based Chat and Call Integrated Administrative Assistant Development' project by forming a consortium with AI technology companies, and achieved the final selection after document review and presentation evaluation.
The project aims to build an integrated administrative assistant system that provides 'AI Civil Service Call Bot and Chatbot Services' and 'AI Audit Review Function' based on generative AI technology.
The 'AI Civil Service Call Bot and Chatbot' understands the questions of civil petitioners using generative AI and provides accurate answers based on reliable information such as laws and administrative guidelines in text (chatbot) or voice (call bot).
Additionally, the 'AI Audit Review' function supports administrative processing that meets audit standards by providing pre-review and guidance based on relevant laws and internal guidelines before public officials handle tasks.
The city plans to introduce AI servers and large language models (LLM) to focus on learning laws, administrative guidelines, and internal documents, thereby establishing a highly reliable AI administrative response system.
The city plans to complete system development by November and initially apply the 'AI Civil Service Call Bot and Chatbot' services to duty work and the city hall website.
Along with this, the 'AI Audit Review' service is expected to greatly help not only new public officials but also improve administrative adaptability due to personnel transfers.
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, "The introduction of AI-based administrative services will drastically reduce repetitive administrative procedures and share the benefits of artificial intelligence with citizens," adding, "We will continue to discover innovative administrative services that can share the benefits of artificial intelligence with citizens."
