[Financial News]  A man in his 50s who went missing 15 years ago was found as a corpse underwater in Andong Dam, Andong City, Gyeongbuk.

According to the Gyeongbuk Police Agency on the 28th, the National Forensic Service analyzed the DNA of the corpse found underwater in Andong Dam on the 17th and confirmed it to be a man in his 50s who went missing near Andong Dam in August 2010.

On the 17th, at around 3:44 PM, a report was received that there was a corpse underwater in Andong Dam.

The fire authorities who received the report deployed 17 pieces of equipment and 65 personnel to search the area around Andong Dam in Seokdong-dong, Andong City, and retrieved the body at around 11:40 AM on the 19th, handing it over to the police.

The deceased was a vice principal at a school in Andong, and at the time of discovery, the body was wearing pants and a shirt, with parts of the body such as the head, arms, and legs reported to be damaged. However, the rest of the body, including the torso, was reportedly intact.

The police determined there was no criminal connection and decided to hand over the body to the bereaved family and close the case.

A police official stated, "The place where the body was found has low water temperature and a muddy bottom, which seems to have led to mummification," adding, "There are no criminal suspicions, so we decided to close the case."
