【Financial News Chuncheon=Kim Gi-seop Reporter】Gangwon Technopark announced on the 29th that it will promote a business support project to help companies with advanced new technologies in the AI healthcare field enter the global market, with support from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Gangwon Province.
The Global Innovation Zone is a policy introduced by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups to provide institutional support based on regulatory innovation to enhance the competitiveness of regional SMEs in the rapidly changing global technology environment and fierce competition.
Based on this, Gangwon Province has designated the AI healthcare industry as a core development area since last year and is actively promoting related projects.
This business support project consists of three areas: △New Industry Liability Insurance △Local Demonstration △Overseas Certification Consulting.
In particular, the support for new industry liability insurance will utilize regulatory exemptions granted to the special zone to support part of the liability insurance subscription fee essential in the domestic demonstration process.
In addition, practical and actionable global entry support will be provided, such as operating a local demonstration base in connection with the University of Tartu in Estonia, selecting target countries tailored to companies, and establishing overseas certification strategies in collaboration with global certification bodies.
To this end, Gangwon Technopark is recruiting participating companies until June 5, and plans to conduct selection evaluations and notify results in June, followed by agreement signing and project implementation and monitoring until November.
A Gangwon Technopark official said, "Through this project, we hope to secure global competitiveness for AI healthcare companies struggling with development due to domestic regulations and safety standards, as well as to be the starting point for institutional improvement."
