Ahn Cheol-soo: "Lee Jae-myung's entire family are criminals... A disaster if they become the face of South Korea"

[Financial News]  Ahn Cheol-soo, a member of the People Power Party, stated on the 29th, "The fact that candidate Lee Jae-myung and his family could become the face of South Korea itself is a disaster," and appealed for support for Kim Moon-soo, the People Power Party's presidential candidate.

Ahn stated on his Facebook that day, "If things continue like this, candidate Lee Jae-myung could become the president of South Korea," adding, "Isn't it horrifying to even imagine 'President Lee Jae-myung of South Korea'? A presidential family where the entire family are criminals and suspects of crimes? Protected by the people's taxes, enjoying the highest level of security and courtesy while representing South Korea? How would foreigners view us?" he criticized.

He continued, "The power they will hold is not for the people, but for their family, a power for family protection," and added, "Imagine President Lee Jae-myung, a criminal suspect, standing shoulder to shoulder with the leaders of the free world. Can you really be proud of that image?" He then added, "The only counterparts suitable for candidate Lee are dictators like Kim Jong-un, Xi Jinping, and Putin."

Ahn expressed concern, "The bigger problem is personnel," stating, "Since he himself is involved in criminal suspicions, the moral standards and basic criteria for government personnel as public officials will completely collapse."

He emphasized, "People with records of drunk driving, violence, fraud, and sexual crimes could take public office without any restrictions," adding, "The damage will be passed on directly to the people."

Finally, Ahn argued, "There are already more than enough reasons why candidate Lee should not be elected," stating, "Candidate Lee must be 'ended' in this election." He repeatedly appealed, "We must block candidate Lee through voting. This is not the time to give up voting based on a public opinion poll of about a thousand people nationwide," adding, "Please gather your support for the clean and competent candidate, Kim."
