[Financial News] Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) announced on the 29th that it was selected as the 1st in the tire sector of the National Brand Competitiveness Index (NBCI) manufacturing sector for 17 consecutive years, organized by the Korea Productivity Center in 2025.
NBCI is an index calculated by comprehensively evaluating brand awareness, image, relationship with customers, and loyalty formed through a company's marketing activities.
Hankook Tire is focusing on securing core technology centered on the high-tech research center 'Hankook Technodome' and Asia's largest tire test track 'Hankook Technoring'. As a result, it has achieved the performance of supplying original equipment tires to about 50 global car brands and over 280 car models.
In particular, last year, it significantly strengthened its supercar brand portfolio. Representative examples include Porsche's high-performance electric sports car 'Taycan', BMW's 7th generation high-performance sedan 'M5', and Mercedes-AMG's high-performance coupe 'Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe'.
Its presence in the electric vehicle dedicated tire market is also distinct. Leading with the world's first full lineup electric vehicle dedicated tire brand 'iON', it is actively working as a key partner for renowned electric vehicle brands such as Tesla, Lucid, and BYD.
It is also securing ultra-high-performance tire technology by supplying tires to motorsport competitions. Hankook Tire sponsors over 70 global motorsport competitions, including the World Rally Championship, the world's top-level motorsport competition organized by the International Automobile Federation, and the electric vehicle racing competition 'Formula E'.
A Hankook Tire representative stated, "We plan to further solidify our position as a top-tier company by accelerating technological innovation that will lead the future mobility paradigm while expanding various activities to increase contact points with global customers."one1@fnnews.com Jung Won-il Reporter
