[Financial News]  Former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon dismissed the fierce criticism from the Democratic Party after expressing his intention to support Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, saying, "The Democratic Party has no right to say that."

Former Prime Minister Lee, in an interview on YTN Radio's 'Shin Yul's News Front' on the 28th, said, "(The reason for supporting candidate Kim is) there might be a monstrous dictatorship state created by the Democratic Party, and to prevent that, I inevitably decided to give my vote to candidate Kim."

He also pointed out, "(The Democratic Party) should first reflect on why the fear of a monstrous dictatorship emerged."

Former Prime Minister Lee said, "The Democratic Party played a very important role during the short period after former President Yoon Seok-yeol's martial law. They led the resolution to lift martial law in 2 hours and 33 minutes and led to the dismissal of former President Yoon in four months, which was indeed an important role."

He then pointed out "the reason why the Democratic Party became a source of concern for the people instead of maintaining that atmosphere."

Former Prime Minister Lee argued, "Because they put forward a candidate who could not resolve any of the 12 criminal charges," and "If the Democratic Party had put forward a candidate without such criminal charges, there would have been no need to dominate the judiciary, and the fear of dictatorship would not have arisen. Then, the current election would have been a much more beautiful and pleasant election."

He also said, "The fact that this election cannot proceed solely as 'end of rebellion' as they wish and that the fear of dictatorship is emerging as a similar issue is something the Democratic Party brought upon itself," and criticized, "There is no effort to reflect on that or reassure the people."

He continued, "There is nothing but turning those who say such things into enemies. That's all there is to Democratic Party politics," adding, "It's a very regrettable situation where politics hinders national development. I think the misfortune I worry about may not end easily."

He also expressed thoughts on the 'rebellion frame' and 'dictatorship frame.'

Former Prime Minister Lee emphasized, "The rebellion frame has already entered the stage of political and legal resolution. The president was dismissed, his subordinates were all ousted, and they are all on trial," and "The fear of dictatorship is a current and future task that might become a reality in a week. In that regard, the concern for the latter is naturally more likely to grow."

On this day, 'Forum Saejae,' a group of figures from the Moon Jae-in administration, decided to expel former Prime Minister Lee from his advisory position. Saejae stated, "Supporting those responsible for and defending the unconstitutional 12·3 martial law, and forming a joint government with them, seriously violates the purpose of Forum Saejae," and "It falls under the grounds for expulsion stipulated in the bylaws."y27k@fnnews.com Seo Yoon-kyung Reporter
