[Financial News] BYD Korea announced on the 29th that it held the 1000th delivery ceremony for Atto 3. It has been about two months since the delivery started in April.
The 1000th customer, Mr. Yoo Ho-seong, said at the delivery ceremony held at the BYD Auto Seocho Showroom on the 28th, "After a recent test drive at the showroom, I decided to purchase the BYD Atto 3 after seeing its driving performance and best-in-class value for money."
Atto 3 is a representative small electric sports utility vehicle (SUV) of BYD, which has sold over 1 million units worldwide in three years since its launch. It features BYD's core technology, the Blade Battery, and the dedicated electric vehicle platform e-Platform 3.0, boasting safety, spaciousness, and stable driving performance.
Additionally, it comes standard with various convenience features such as a 3D surround view monitor, panoramic sunroof, V2L, 12.8-inch rotating display, and intelligent cruise control. It has been popular in Korea as well, with 543 units sold in 17 days since sales began in mid-last month, due to its superior product competitiveness and reasonable price compared to models in the same class.
BYD Korea plans to expand its official service centers from the current 12 to over 25 by the end of this year and increase the number of BYD Auto showrooms from 15 to over 30 to expand contact points with consumers.
Jo In-cheol, head of the passenger car division at BYD Korea, said, "Last month, about 20% of Atto 3 buyers were in their 20s and 30s, about 30% in their 40s, about 32% in their 50s, and about 18% were 60 and older, showing interest from all age groups," adding, "We will continue to launch new cars with high product competitiveness and strive for the growth of the domestic electric vehicle market by offering the best service environment."one1@fnnews.com Jeong Won-il Reporter
