Genesis GV70, Praised as 'Best Premium SUV' in North America

Hyundai Motor's premium brand Genesis announced on the 29th that the GV70 partial change model (hereafter GV70) has proven its marketability by receiving praise from major automotive media in North America.
Genesis recently held the 'GV70 Media First Drive', combining the announcement of key technologies applied to the GV70 and a test drive in Houston, Texas, USA. The event was attended by over 60 major North American media outlets, including World Car of the Year (WCOTY), North American Car of the Year (NACTOY) judges, MotorTrend, Car and Driver, Edmunds, and Automotive News.
From major North American media, the GV70 received praise as a "premium sport utility vehicle (SUV) that satisfies all conditions, with no car surpassing it in terms of luxury and performance."
The GV70 improved ride comfort by adding hydro bushings, previously applied to the front suspension, to the rear suspension through partial changes, and implemented more stable vehicle behavior through optimized steering tuning. Additionally, the preview electronic control suspension, which includes new features such as highway body motion control that more precisely controls vehicle movement when using smart cruise control (SCC) on highways, has been applied to enhance overall driving performance.
American automotive magazine Car and Driver evaluated, "The ride comfort has improved on bumpy roads, and sharper steering is possible than before, making cornering more precise," while MotorTrend also stated, "There is no compromise in handling, and the ride comfort has definitely improved compared to before."
The application of 'active noise control', which measures and analyzes road noise in real-time and transmits sound of opposite phase through speakers to drastically reduce noise levels, also drew attention for its improved quietness.
Canada's automotive media platform 'Driving' praised, "Texas roads are particularly noisy at high speeds, but the GV70 is remarkably quiet and smooth," and "I was impressed by the calm interior while driving on the highway." The American automotive media 'Jalopnik' also evaluated, "It perfectly blocks passengers from external noise."
In addition, the interior space, including high-quality materials and a 27-inch wide display, and advanced driver assistance systems also received good reviews. The GV70 is Genesis's bestselling model, driving sales since its launch in the North American market. Last year, the GV70 accounted for 35% of Genesis's total sales in the United States and 57% of total sales in Canada.
