[Financial News] The Korea Racing Authority announced on the 29th that it will operate the 'Urban Park Horse Riding Festival' allowing local residents to experience horse riding for free every weekend at Taejongdae Amusement Park in Busan from June 31 to July 6.
Retired racehorses, which have been transformed into riding horses through taming and training, will be used for the horse riding experience. Additionally, to ensure the health and welfare of the horses, a 15-minute break is given to the horses after a 45-minute riding experience.
The horse riding experience is free of charge. It can be applied for on-site without prior reservation. Anyone over 105 cm in height and under 75 kg in weight can participate in the horse riding, considering the safety of the participants. Professional safety personnel with qualifications are stationed at the event site to help local residents safely experience horse riding.
At the event site, there will also be a display of small horses such as ponies, allowing children and students to see the horses up close and take photos with them. Let's Run Park Busan Gyeongnam will conduct a free admission ticket issuance promotion and a drawing event.
From June 28 to July 6, the urban park horse riding experience will be held in conjunction with the 2025 Hydrangea Flower Cultural Festival at Taejongdae Amusement Park in Busan.
Jeong Gi-hwan, chairman of the Korea Racing Authority, said, “I hope local residents enjoy a more diverse leisure life by enjoying horse riding at Taejongdae Amusement Park in Busan,” adding, “I hope that the urban horse riding experience will lead to a regular horse riding experience, allowing people to feel familiar with horses.”
