National Library of Korea, Agreement on 'Joint Utilization of National Knowledge Resources on the Korean War'

[Financial News] The National Library of Korea announced on the 29th that it has signed a business agreement with the War Memorial Project Association for the joint utilization of national knowledge resources on the Korean War.
This agreement was promoted to establish a mutual cooperation system among institutions collecting overseas Korea-related materials and to promote the joint growth of both institutions. The main points of the agreement are △ sharing and joint utilization cooperation of national knowledge resources and exchange of technical information for data construction △ cooperation in joint academic, exhibition, and educational projects related to the Korean War.
The National Library of Korea, together with the War Memorial Project Association and the Turkish National Archives' Military Strategy Research Institute (ATASE), will conduct collaborative collection and analysis of over 5,300 Korean War records as part of this agreement. The collected materials will be jointly preserved and serviced by both institutions.
In addition, to enhance the accessibility and utilization of Korean War materials, the National Library of Korea will share the list of related materials with the 'Korean War Archive Service Platform' promoted by the War Memorial Project Association.
Kim Hee-seop, Director of the National Library of Korea, said, "If both institutions share and connect their national knowledge resources and accumulated experiences, it is expected that mutual development as well as the public's understanding and information accessibility regarding the Korean War will be greatly enhanced."
