[Financial News] Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, said on the 29th, "If voters do not participate in early voting, the overall voter turnout decreases, putting us at a disadvantage."
Candidate Kim, after conducting early voting with his daughter Kim Dong-joo in Incheon Gyeyang on the morning of that day, responded to a press question regarding suspicions about the poor management of early voting by stating this.
Candidate Kim explained, "I also did an absentee vote today during early voting," adding, "In this case, the procedure is complicated, which can lead to poor management and there are many who claim there is a possibility of election fraud."
Furthermore, Candidate Kim said, "However, we are striving to thoroughly manage so that there are no parts poorly managed," and encouraged early voting by saying, "If we do not vote early at all, unexpected events may occur on the main voting day, preventing voting, which leads to a drop in voter turnout."
Candidate Kim explained his reason for visiting Incheon Gyeyang, the constituency of Lee Jae-myung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, by saying, "I came to Incheon for a campaign and stopped by Gyeyang on the way," adding, "Candidate Lee could also be a factor."
He continued, regarding the failure to unify with Lee Jun-seok, the candidate of the Reform New Party, until that day, the first day of early voting, "We will make efforts until the end," and said, "We are continuously working to unite as one overall."
