AI-based Matching, 6-Step Verification, Blind Chat Introduced... Dating with Data
[Financial News] Saramin has entered the dating market.
Saramin announced on the 29th that it has officially launched the dating app 'Begins' using its artificial intelligence (AI) technology and user data.
Unlike existing dating apps, Begins emphasizes the 'real start of love', and is the first case of applying Saramin's long-accumulated matching technology and data analysis capabilities from the recruitment market to the dating field.
The core feature is the 'BLOOM Dating Preference Test'. Independently developed by Saramin's Psychological Test Research Institute, this test analyzes dating values and behavior patterns to classify users into 16 animal types. Based on the know-how from developing existing aptitude tests, this test attracted attention with over 100,000 voluntary participants within two weeks of its pre-release on May 8.
Saramin has also strengthened its verification system to enhance profile credibility. In addition to basic identity verification, they have established a total of 6 verification steps, including face verification, resume/self-introduction data linkage, school/company verification, and acquaintance verification, to fundamentally block fake accounts. They are currently pursuing ISMS-P (Information Security Management System & Personal Information Protection Management System) certification.
Additionally, to overcome the limitations of appearance-centered matching, they have introduced the 'Blind Chat' feature. This structure allows users to have a 24-hour conversation without seeing each other's photos, and profiles are only revealed if mutual interest is confirmed. This feature, inspired by 'blind recruitment', targets the needs of the 2030 generation seeking genuine connections.
A Saramin representative said, "Even though we started as a latecomer in the recruitment market, we grew to lead the industry based on AI-driven analysis and trust," adding, "We will now extend that know-how to dating, enhancing the credibility of the dating app market and growing it as a driving force for new B2C (Business-to-Consumer) business growth."
