According to Lotte Corporation on the 29th, Lotte World Tower & Mall won two top awards (5 Stars rating) in the development category at the 2025 International Property Awards (IPA) held in Bangkok, Thailand on the 16th, and was selected as the 'Best Development Project in Korea'.
IPA is a prestigious real estate award ceremony that started in the UK in 1993, recognizing innovative and excellent projects in various categories such as architecture, development, interior design, and real estate. It involves participation from five regions worldwide, including Asia Pacific and Europe, and over 40 countries. Experts in various real estate fields comprehensively evaluate innovation, creativity, and sustainability to select the winners.
In this award ceremony, Lotte World Tower & Mall received the top award (5 Stars rating) in two categories: 'Comprehensive Site Design' and 'Sustainable Commercial Real Estate Development'.
The newly established 'Comprehensive Site Design' category evaluates the suitability of development location and site, as well as design innovation elements. Lotte World Tower & Mall was recognized for overcoming the limitations of super high-rise construction and its strengths as a complex facility equipped with work, residential, accommodation, sales, and cultural facilities, and was selected as an award-winning project. 'Sustainable Commercial Real Estate Development' evaluates the suitability in the eco-friendly field, and Lotte World Tower & Mall was recognized for its high utilization rate of renewable energy and continuous improvement of the water quality of Seokchon Lake, and was selected as an award-winning project.
With this award, Lotte World Tower & Mall has been nominated as a candidate for the next round, the Asia Pacific regional award ceremony, where it will compete with world-renowned development projects such as Hangzhou Ping An Finance Center and Indonesia's CitraLand. The regional award ceremony will be held in London, UK, this coming winter, and if it wins the regional category, it will be nominated as a candidate for the final round, the global award ceremony, to determine the best.
