A total of 40 selected with expertise and experience, leading to the enhancement of the value and dignity of public buildings
The customized service project refers to a service that acts on behalf of institutions that lack specialized personnel in the facility field or have no experience in carrying out facility construction, covering the entire or part of the facility project process (planning, review, design, construction management, etc.).
The Public Architecture Review Committee consists of a total of 40 members (33 in architectural planning and design, 4 in urban, 3 in landscaping) with more than 10 years of practical experience in the field, and includes private experts with professional qualifications such as architects and engineers, along with academics and experts from public institutions that actually promote public construction projects, to ensure substantial architectural planning reviews. The committee is responsible for reviewing architectural plans with an annual scale of 35 cases and 2.2 trillion won.
Kwon Hyuk-jae, Director of the Facility Business Bureau of the Public Procurement Service, said, "The improvement of the quality of public buildings lies in proper design, and the architectural planning at the early stage of the project, which presents the correct design direction, is important," adding, "Through specialized reviews, we will enhance the efficiency of the project and the value of public buildings."
