[Financial News] Samsung Bioepis announced on the 29th that it was selected as an 'Excellent Company in Gender Employment Equality' at the '2025 Gender Employment Equality Emphasis Period' awards ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, held at the Olympic Parktel in Seoul on the 28th, and received a Minister's Commendation.
This award is the result of Samsung Bioepis being highly evaluated for actively operating various systems that create an organizational culture where men and women can work equally, and support a balanced life between work and family, including maternity protection.
Samsung Bioepis has established global-level work systems such as flexible working hours. It also operates internal education and job transition systems for career development, actively supporting the growth of employees.
To ensure that female employees, who make up 50% of the total workforce, can fully demonstrate their capabilities, maternity protection systems such as reduced working hours for pregnant women, fetal care leave, parental leave, and maternity protection rooms are being implemented. The expansion of the capacity of the in-house daycare center, which currently accommodates 100 children, is also underway.
In addition, through online and offline communication programs and a culture of mutual respect, the company is striving to build a corporate culture that simultaneously enhances employees' work immersion and satisfaction.
Kang Dae-seong, Senior Executive of the Samsung Bioepis People Team, said, "This is the result of continuous efforts to establish a healthy organizational culture based on gender equality," adding, "We will continue to do our best to create a working environment where employees can enjoy a harmonious balance between work and life with equal opportunities based on their capabilities."
