[Financial News]  Teenage girls who drove a stolen car without a license for a long distance have been sent to the prosecution.

On the 28th, according to JTBC Event Leader, informant A residing in Taebaek, Gangwon-do, received two speeding tickets on January 24th. The reason was speeding that occurred around 11:50 PM on January 12th and around midnight the next day.
Didn't Drive but Got 'Speeding Ticket'... Checked the Black Box

A, who was sleeping due to a three-shift work schedule, felt something was wrong and checked the car's black box. Inside, there was footage of four teenage girls driving the car at high speed.

In the video, the girls shouted "We're flying" as they drove at high speed, and they also performed zigzag stunt driving by sharply shaking the steering wheel left and right. The car sped through a tunnel at 180~190 km/h and reportedly traveled a considerable distance from Taebaek to a resort in Jeongseon.

Cigarette burn marks were also found throughout the interior of the car. A, a non-smoker, checked the car after reviewing the black box and found cigarette burns on the front seat A-pillar and the back seat.
Car Owner Claims 13 Million Won Gold Bracelet Missing... Students Deny Theft

Additionally, A claimed that 100,000 won in cash, a luxury wallet worth about 2 million won, and a gold bracelet worth 13 million won were missing from the car. The gold bracelet was a 20-don piece given by parents 20 years ago, which was kept in the glove box.

However, the police did not apply charges of special theft, stating 'it cannot be proven that the items were actually in the car,' and only applied charges of illegal use of a vehicle and driving without a license, sending the case to the prosecution.

The girls told the police that 'although they searched the unlocked car, there was nothing worth stealing,' 'they smoked but flicked the ashes outside the car,' and 'they drove but did not cause an accident.'

Regarding this, A said, "Denying theft just because there was nothing in their hands when they got out of the car is a logical leap," and "there is also a lack of clear evidence that the suspects did not steal the items."

After the incident, some of the girls' parents contacted A to apologize and asked, "Please be lenient so they can do well in school," but reportedly cut off contact when the issue of compensation for car repairs was mentioned.

Finally, A said, "I am also a parent, but I am very angry," and "I hope the truth will be revealed."
