[Financial News] The Democratic Party stated that the so-called 'chopstick' remark by Lee Jun-seok, the Gaehyuk Shin Party candidate, is "nothing but Lee Jun-seok's creation." Candidate Lee immediately held a press conference and countered, "It is content that can be confirmed in the indictment of Mr. Lee Dong-ho (son of Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung)."

Cho Seung-rae, the chief spokesperson of the Democratic Party's election committee, met with reporters on the 29th at the Democratic Party's central office in Yeouido, Seoul, and said, "The remark made by candidate Lee Jun-seok during the broadcast is his creation." He added, "Didn't candidate Lee Jun-seok throw an out-of-the-blue question with his creation? That remark is clearly either his own creation or stories circulating in the community. The nonsensical remarks made by candidate Lee Jun-seok during the live debate are very serious in themselves," he said.

However, Chief Spokesperson Cho answered, "We need to check," when asked whether the election committee confirmed if candidate Lee Jae-myung's son wrote the relevant comment.

Additionally, Kim Min-seok, the Democratic Party's election committee chairman, posted on Facebook that day, "The departure of the market trader who covered lies with lies and falsehoods with falsehoods will eventually be achieved by the expulsion of a member of the National Assembly with the support of the ruling party's members after the presidential election." This indicates that candidate Lee's remarks are false.

Lee Jun-seok, the Gaehyuk Shin Party candidate, held a press conference that day, stating, "The facts have already been confirmed through legal materials and media reports. It has been confirmed that Mr. Lee Dong-ho made obscene remarks beyond the limit," and "Mr. Lee Dong-ho was sentenced to a fine of 5 million won last year for violating the Information and Communications Network Act," he said. "I quoted one of Mr. Lee Dong-ho's posts by replacing it with relatively value-neutral words, but the expressions were so obscene that there were limits even after refining and purifying them. I sincerely apologize to those who felt uncomfortable," he said.
